Bjarta Reykjavík
City of Reykjavík
Bjarta Reykjavík, which means 'Bright Reykjavik', was a project to promote new green areas, new possibilities in outdoors activities, restored old buildings as well as to lighten up the mood of Reykjavík in general in the summer of 2009.
Unrented houses that became empty in the aftermath of the financial crash in 2008 were decorated with window decorations featuring the brighter side of things in the nation's capital.
Birds, plants and houses were the main motifs in my rendering of a Bright Reykjavík.
